Paddle Tennis

Paddle Tennis is a cross between squash and tennis played in an enclosed court with opponents facing each other across a net. It is a highly enjoyable game which is very popular in Spain.

Basic Paddle Rules

Serve

Serve is always crosscourt, and it has to bounce in the service box.

To serve, you must let the ball bounce behind the service line, and then hit it around waist high.

After the bounce of the ball in the service box, the ball cannot touch the sides of the metallic fence. It will be 'in' if it touches the glass wall on the side or the back.

If on the serve, the ball touches the top of the net and then goes 'in', it will be 'let' as in tennis.

In Play

Once the ball is in play, it can bounce anywhere on the court, and it will be possible to return it after it touches any of the walls of the court.

It is also possible to return it by hitting your own glass walls (side or back) and then making it go over the net.

The point will be over as soon as a player hits the ball out, into the net or as soon as it bounces two times on the court.

The scoring rules and change overs are as in tennis.
